LMSystems Lockdown extension

Last updated October 22, 2026. This policy covers the LMSystems Lockdown Chrome extension.

• What the extension does

  LMSystems Lockdown works only on LMSystems.ai quiz pages (www.lmsystems.ai/q/…), and only while a quiz that the teacher set to Lockdown asks for it. While the quiz runs, it keeps the quiz tab active and the Chrome window full screen, closes new tabs and windows, and sends the tab back to the quiz if the student goes to another address.

• What it handles

  While a quiz is locked, the extension keeps three things in memory: the quiz tab's id, the quiz page's address, and the window's state (for example, full screen). It uses them only to keep the quiz in front and to put the window back the way it was when the lock ends. It forgets them when the lock ends or Chrome closes. While a Lockdown quiz page is open, the extension also reads which other extensions are on in Chrome (their names and ids), because another extension could read or change the quiz. Extensions your school installed are left out.

• What it does not do

  The extension stores nothing and sends nothing off your device. It makes no network requests. It does not read the quiz page's content, your answers, other tabs, your browsing history or anything you type. It does not run on any other website. It never turns off, changes or removes another extension: you do that yourself. Beyond access to the quiz pages, it asks Chrome for one permission, to see your other extensions (Chrome calls it "Manage your apps, extensions, and themes").

• What the quiz page records

  The extension tells the quiz page two things: whether the quiz is locked right now, and the names of the other extensions that are on. The quiz page shows those names only to the student, so they know which to turn off, and never saves or sends them. The LMSystems.ai quiz page, not the extension, counts how often and how long the student left the quiz, and saves that count with the student's response. Only the student's teacher sees it, as a hint, never as proof.

• Sharing

  The extension collects no user data, so it sells or shares none. We do not use any data from it for advertising, credit or any purpose other than keeping a quiz in front.
